Naya and Oliver were one of my most unique couples this year.  They had a definte style that suited each other more perfectly than two peas in a pod.  It’s always so wonderful to work with couples who are so so sooooo equally yoked, it’s a bit scary! 

They put together their incredible wedding weekend in a short period of time.  Oliver mentioned how they “did the math” on a one day wedding with 150 guests, and well, it’s didn’t add up! They wanted a few days with their guests, and I don’t blame them.  They scouted and found the rustic, yet charming, Douglas Ranch boys camp facility just outside of Carmel Valley.  Carmel Valley is one of my favorite places on the planet, just such a lovely vibe, I would move there in a heartbeat! 

The camp …  is a rustic boys camp built in the 40’s with about 20 cabins for their guests and all sorts of activites, from swimming, to archery to a mini shooting range = FUN!  They took the archery as their theme, and had “arrow” pins made up, along with paper targets, as their table place numbers, LOVED it! 

I was lucky enough to be get to stick around for the second day of festivites, as you can see, it was a warm high 80’s in October, and a relaxing and just a very special time for everyone to hang out together and celebrate love!  As they were heading over to the shooting range, in bathing suits with beer in hand, the thought crossed my mind, gee, I thought Dan, I and our friends were the only ones crazy enough to like bullets and beer….ha-ha!  A good time was certainly had by all.
