Adventures | New Mexico
Back in town from a wonderful trip to visit my dad in New Mexico. It's been almost 15 years since I've been there - my dad just moved there a few years ago. It's a pretty cool state really - lots of history, open space and Indians.
We visited a bunch of old Missions, a couple of Pueblos, old town Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Taos, the tram up to the top of a Sandia mountain, visited Madrid and saw the cafe the movie Wild Hogs was shot at, Jemez Canyon, Bandalier (old indian cliff dwellings). Really I could have stayed a lot longer and spent more time at each location - maybe next time! I just missed seeing the balloon festival, which ended the day before I got there - bummer!
Funny enough, while I was sitting at the airport yesterday on my way home, still in New Mexico, I ran into a wedding photo friend ~ Jose Villa ~ Hope your wedding was great Jose & Linda!
OK, enough chatting, here are some of my favorite shots! ~ enjoy!
Me eating my favorite - soppapia (I probably spelled it wrong)

This building has a sign on it - will build to suit - it was pretty funny!

They get awesome fall colors!!

the cliff dwellings from far away....
A note about this area....it's very close to Los Alamos - and somewhere around here they developed and tested the atomic bomb!!! We kept going by fences that said "danger - explosives!"
