Halter Ranch Wedding paso robles
Megan and Teddy’s love story began one balmy dusty summer in the corals at the Salina Rodeo. Megan, an equine vet and Teddy a renown bareback rodeo cowboy, were an instant connection. Teddy’s a California native and Megan’s originally from Texas.
When I first met them last summer, to shoot their engagement sessions, I”ll never forget the mini adventure we embarked on. The best stories in life have a bit of adventure, so whenever I encounter a couple with a vision of adventure for their portraits, I’m all in! While we didn’t plan on melting during our session, it was filled with dusty trails, wild animals, including Billy the goat, and painting on the rear ends of horses. (View that session here)
Fast forward less than a year and we have arrived to their elegant wedding day, brimming with quaint details and beauty. They chose Halter Ranch as their wedding site, which recently completed a venue overhaul, it’s amazing!!!! Megan choose a special groom’s cake for Teddy … commemorating his winning belt buckle. The couple and their guests enjoyed the sunsetting behind them in the courtyard among the old silos (turned into bridal quarters) and their formal dinner in the old silo barn. The barn has been completely restored and finished, it’s rare for a barn to have a real floor, and Halter’s barn even has a glass portion of the floor revealing the silo drop below the foundation.
At the end of the evening the couple toasted, ate cactus cupcakes and danced the night away! What a beautiful start to a new chapter in life! Congratulations Megan and Teddy!!!
