Fine Art feature on Voyage LA, abstract expressionism photography

Recently my fine art photography was featured on Voyage LA’s website in a fun article.  View the complete article HERE.

A little about this work … I went to school at UC Santa Cruz, and studied fine art, with an emphasis on photography, and a minor in Art History.  While there I explore many subjects, regardless of what it was, I always found a way to make it beautiful.  My professor, Norman Locks, akin’d my senior project, which explored the juxtaposition of farm to table, versus feed lots, to Richard Avedon.  It was a brutal subject, but what flourished in my imagery, was beautiful.

Fast forward 20 years … I’ve had the opportunity to create beautiful images on a weekly basis as commissioned by clients for their families and weddings, week in and week out.  This is SUCH a blessing.  However, whilst this is my “day job” my “dream job” consists of my abstract art.  It’s been my aim since high school, and I’ve reached the point where it’s flourishing.

The body of work currently tucked in my back pocket is stunning.  It’s full of energy, motion and LIFE.  Presently I have some of it featured under the FINE ART tab of my website … but a new site is brewing where prints will be available!

Follow your dreams, some days it’s all we have!
