Last Sunday after the ATT Pro-Am, Dan and I headed to brunch at Carmel Mission Ranch. As I was enjoying a lovely and leisurly Sunday over looking the grazing sheep in the pasture, I realized I never blogged Kelly and Christophers wedding.
A year ago in January we met up on a trip they made out from Texas to scope out wedding venues from Carmel to Napa. We had a lovely time shooting their engagement session, over our lunch at my favorite resturant, Cassanova’s, I kind of hinted, they need not go further. Carmel is one of the best places on planet earth! I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Carmel Valley, feels like second home, I just LOVE it there.
After their exploration on the west coast, Kelly and Christopher decided to get hitched in Carmel, at the Mission, and have their reception at Mission Ranch. It’s not hard to fall in love with this town and these locations…. so much history, amazing views, delicious service and food, what’s not to love?
So, about 100 of their closest family and friends flew out from the great state of Texas to celebrate a weekend of love and new begining with Kelly and Chris. You could feel how much these two are loved, and in love. Their bridal party was pretty darn fun, and they had some new (to me) wedding traditions they brought with them I had never experienced! After the cake cutting, the bride had had charms baked into the cake, and all the bridesmaids gathered around and “pulled” out their charm … it was SO much fun! Each charm had a special meaning or fortune, it was very fun! Earlier on the wedding day, Christopher took all his groomsmen to the local hat shop and they each got a new cap, all different, LOVED this idea.
After one awesome dance party, some cake and drinks, they headed over to another one of our favorite spots, the Hog’s Breath, for a night cap with most of their guests. What a perfect celebration, for one of the sweetest couples I have ever encoutered.
Much love to you both, may you have a lifetime of joys together.
