Even though I go to weddings almost every weekend, It’s not often that someone close to me gets married, in fact I just got to attend my first family wedding ever (other than my sisters’s) last weekend! Just a few weeks ago, Dan, Ali and I had the honor of celebrating with Cady and Russ as they committed their lives to each other. It was such a wonderful day, filled with SO much love and joy. As many of you know Cady has worked with me for about 3 years now, she’s pretty much the chief editor and album designer & travel buddy, basically, without her, I’d be in trouble!
It’s been a fun journey the past year to hear her talk about ideas, locations, dresses, colors, flowers, hair pieces, shoes, baskets, cakes, cake toppers, table runners, candles, greenery and the list goes on! When all was said and done, she did a fantastic job of planning the day and having it run smooth. Which brings me to the weather…. OH MY. it rained, and rained, and rained, I don’t even know how many inches we got, but if we changed the word from rain to love, Cady and Russ had a TON of LOVE on their wedding day! It was like God was crying over their celebration!
Despite the less than ideal weather on the first day of spring, their celebration was beautiful and full of love, what more could one ask for? Congratulations C+R, we love you both!!!!
PS Check out Ali’s photos over on her blog and stay tuned, for their second episode, coming to a blog near you, probably in May! We simply have to shoot at the locations we had scouted and were not able to go to, because they would have been mud pits!!!
